PRESS STATEMENT ON MY AMBASSADORIAL POSTING.  It gives me pleasure to announce the fact that Mr. President has graciously approved my posting as Nigeria's Ambassador-Designate to South Africa.    This came a few days after the initial posting to Germany was announced and after I made a formal representation to the then Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, that I was not comfortable with Germany for a number of personal reasons and given the fact that I had lived in Europe most of my life I would prefer to go to South Africa which is a country that I had never been to and for which I have so much interest.  I also expressed the fact that I would rather serve in a country that shares some of my convictions, beilefs and values when it comes to world affairs, that has the biggest economy in Africa, that has closer ties to Nigeria and that is more proximate to my political thinking when it comes to foreign affairs and a pan African vision.  I t...

The Honourable Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. Sule Shu’aibu SAN, accompanied by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Nehemiah Abu Bamai, and other ministry officials, conducted a follow-up visit today to families affected by recent abductions in the state.

The team visited victims of the Kurmin Wali abductions, families of six rescued from the Millennium City incident, a hospitalized Civilian JTF member, Mr. Marcus Isa, who sustained injuries during rescue operations, and a bereaved family impacted by the attacks, offering condolences and support.

“These visits highlight the Kaduna State Government’s commitment not only to the safe release of victims but also to their wellbeing, rehabilitation, and reintegration into society,” Dr. Shu’aibu stated.

He emphasized that under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State, citizen safety remains a top priority.

The Commissioner noted that the Governor was fully engaged throughout the rescue efforts, ensuring that victims were safely recovered, profiled by security agencies, provided with psychosocial support, and received medical attention before being reunited with their families.

Dr. Shu’aibu also urged residents to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies, and provide timely information, stressing the importance of collaboration between community groups, Civilian JTF, Kaduna State Vigilance, and formal security structures.

During a visit to the palace of the Chief of Danhono, Malam Ahmadu Gethro, the traditional ruler commended the Governor’s proactive approach to security, noting significant improvements in safety in the area.

He lauded the swift response that facilitated the rescue of abducted victims and pledged continued community support for government efforts.
