A senior military officer has died following a road accident along the Abuja–Kaduna highway.
The incident was revealed in a post shared on X on Sunday by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
According to the report, the crash occurred on March 28 at Azara village, near Jere in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The accident reportedly involved a commercial Sharon bus and a BUA Cement truck.
The officer, identified as Major A.M. Abubakar, was said to be a passenger in the commercial vehicle at the time.
He was also a student at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC).
Sources indicated that the officer died instantly, while other passengers sustained minor injuries.
His remains were later taken to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna, where his personal belongings were handed over to his family upon their arrival.
