PRESS RELEASE May 8, 2026 CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT IN CIRCULATION NOT OFFICIALLY RELEASED, BUT CONTENTS FURTHER AFFIRM ABDULRAHMAN AND ANYANWU’S LEADERSHIP OF THE PDP 1. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has become aware of the circulation of a purported Certified True Copy (CTC) of the recent Supreme Court judgment relating to matters concerning the party. 2. The PDP wishes to categorically state that the document currently in circulation was not officially released by the Supreme Court. A careful examination of the purported CTC reveals that it falls short of the established requirements for proper certification of official court documents. The pages were neither duly certified, stamped, nor signed by any authorized court officer in accordance with legally recognized procedures. 3. However, assuming without conceding that the said CTC was officially released by the Supreme Court, we make bold to state that the contents of the judgment further affirm the defeat ...

King Charles Is Worth $850 Million but He Doesn't Have a Salary. Here's How His Life and Work Are Funded

King Charles III may not receive a traditional salary, but his estimated $860 million fortune is supported through three major streams of income.

The biggest source is the Sovereign Grant, which comes from profits made by the Crown Estate, a vast portfolio of commercial properties, hospitality assets, and more than 191,000 acres of land.

These profits are controlled by the UK Treasury, which then releases a percentage to fund the monarchy’s official work.

In the 2025 to 2026 financial year, the grant rose to more than $176 million, largely boosted by offshore wind farm lease sales and strong asset management.

This money covers official royal duties, including staff salaries, upkeep of official residences such as Buckingham Palace, and the cost of public engagements and foreign trips. In 2025 alone, members of the royal family reportedly carried out 2,458 engagements.

The second source is the Duchy of Lancaster, a private estate held in trust for the monarch since 1399. It includes historic buildings, urban property, mineral interests, and more than 41,000 acres of rural land. Revenue from this estate goes into the Privy Purse, which stood at over $38 million in the 2024 to 2025 year.

That fund supports the King’s private expenses, maintenance of personal residences like Sandringham and Balmoral, and some costs linked to other working royals.

The third stream is Charles’ personal portfolio, which includes private investments, savings, and properties. Unlike the other two, this part of his wealth is not publicly disclosed.

Before becoming King in September 2022, Charles was funded through the Duchy of Cornwall while serving as Prince of Wales.

Since ascending the throne, his finances have shifted to this three-part structure.

Together, the Sovereign Grant, the Privy Purse, and his personal investments fund both his role as monarch and his private life.

Despite a slower pace in 2024 following his cancer diagnosis, Charles returned strongly and was later ranked the hardest-working royal in 2025.
