 South Korean police seek arrest warrant for Hybe chairman Bang Si-Hyuk over alleged $100 million investor fraud scheme    South Korean police are seeking an arrest warrant for Bang Si-Hyuk, the billionaire music executive behind K-pop powerhouse Hybe and BTS, as part of an expanding investigation into allegations that he improperly benefited from an investor scheme involving more than $100 million. Authorities said they have asked prosecutors to pursue a court warrant for Bang’s arrest as they continue probing claims that he misled investors in 2019. Investigators allege he told investors that Hybe had no plans for an initial public offering, leading them to sell shares to a private equity fund. The company later went public, and police suspect a separate arrangement may have resulted in Bang receiving a substantial payout tied to post-IPO stock profits.  LASPA TRAINS STAFF ON DRONE OPERATION


As part of efforts to boost operational capacity and improve parking management across the State, the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA) has organised a drone operating training programme for its staff.


The two-week intensive training initiative was designed to develop and build technical capacity and equip LASPA personnel for effective drone operation and enhance parking management.


According to the General Manager, LASPA, Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu, the initiative was designed to deepen the Authority’s technological capabilities and increase Parking operational efficiency in Lagos State.


She emphasised that the integration of drone technology into parking management will not only enhance real-time parking monitoring and improve enforcement but also increase data gathering and storage.


Mrs. Adelabu, further noted that the current drone training, which is the second in the series, is conducted by the officials of the Parking Authority who had earlier been trained by Tolulope  Shosimi, FAA Certified Commercial Drone Pilot from Tolu Shosimi Studios. 


The already existing LASPA trainers are to cascade their knowledge to the new teams, accelerating the Authority’s transition toward technology-enabled operations.


The Management of LASPA noted that the programme aligns with the Parking Authority’s core values, Technology and Innovation, and its commitment to leveraging innovative tools to improve service delivery.


The Authority further reaffirmed its commitment to continuous innovation and capacity building for a more efficient parking management in Lagos State.
