 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Lawyer dies after being trapped in Abuja hotel lift


 lawyer, Barrister Abdulsalami Ginsau, has reportedly d!ed after being trapped inside an elevator at a hotel in Abuja.


An eyewitness account said the incident occurred on Monday, March 30, 2026. 


The report indicated that the deceased was stuck in the lift for a prolonged period, leading to his d3ath, suspected to be from suffocation.


However, the exact cause of the incident has not been officially confirmed.


It’s is unclear whether it was due to a power outage or a mechanical fault in the elevator.


Authorities and the management of the hotel involved have issued an official statement at the time of filing this report.


The identity of the hotel has also not been disclosed. 


Meanwhile friends and colleagues have taken to social media to mourn him.
