Burrs appeared in feature films such as Rumor Has It… (2005) and The Bling Ring (2013), but she was most prolific on television, with a career spanning from The Slap Maxwell Story in 1988 to recent appearances on Young Sheldon, Angie Tribeca, and Grace and Frankie in 2017. One of her most memorable performances came in a 2006 episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where she played Angie Spinola, the long-ago high school girlfriend of Danny DeVito’s Frank Reynolds, agreeing to a reunion decades later. Burrs’ nuanced performance captured a mix of humor, frustration, and charm in the scene.

Born on November 25, 1940, in Manila, Philippines, Burrs moved to New York City after studying drama at The College of William & Mary to pursue a career in musical theater, commercials, and soap operas. In New York, she married Joseph Edward Bures, a union that lasted more than 52 years until his death in 2020.
