 PRESS RELEASE DELTA STATE POLICE COMMAND PROBES VIRAL VIDEO ALLEGING ASSAULT OF WOMAN; DELTA STATE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE ORDERS INVESTIGATION The Delta State Police Command is aware of a viral video circulating on X and other social media platforms alleging that some police officers assaulted a woman and subjected her to over forty strokes of cane. The video captures the victim narrating her ordeal. The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command has directed an immediate and thorough investigation into the allegations. Preliminary steps have commenced to verify the circumstances surrounding the incident and to establish the identities of the officers involved. The matter has been referred to the appropriate investigative unit for discreet handling, while efforts are ongoing to ensure that all personnel implicated are identified and brought to account.  Meghan Markle’s dad finds love with nurse 35 years younger


Thomas Markle, Meghan Markle’s estranged father, has found companionship again after meeting nurse Rio Canedo, 35 years his junior, while recovering from surgery in the Philippines. 


At 81, Markle says he is “overjoyed” with the relationship, describing Rio as a source of peace and happiness after years of health struggles and personal turmoil. 


Despite criticism, he insists he is focused on living fully, declaring, “haters will hate.”


Markle’s health challenges have been significant in recent years, including a leg amputation, a stroke, and multiple hospitalizations. 


His move to the Philippines earlier this year was partly to seek privacy and escape reminders of his fractured relationship with Meghan, who has been estranged from him since her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry. 


While he has never met Harry or his grandchildren, Markle remains close to his other children, with his son Thomas Jr. now acting as his caregiver.


The father-daughter relationship once appeared strong, as Meghan lived with him during her teenage years and described him as hardworking and inspiring. 


However, their bond broke down after Markle staged paparazzi photos ahead of her wedding, an incident that led to mistrust and a heated phone call with Harry. 


Since then, Markle has maintained ties with his other family members while carving out a quieter life abroad, insisting that despite past mistakes, he has found happiness again in his new relationship.
