 SENATE APPROVES ₦403.1BN POLICE TRUST FUND BUDGETS FOR 2025, 2026 The Senate has approved a total of ₦403.1 billion for the Nigeria Police Trust Fund for the 2025 and 2026 fiscal years, to strengthen policing and tackle terrorism, kidnapping, and other security threats. The approved funding includes ₦170.1 billion for 2025 and ₦233 billion for 2026, covering personnel costs, capital projects, and overhead expenses aimed at improving the operational capacity of the Nigeria Police Force. Lawmakers say the funds will support the provision of critical equipment, infrastructure, training, and other resources needed to enhance security across the country.  Michael Jackson biopic Michael to have early screenings ahead of wide release

Lionsgate announced that its Michael Jackson biopic Michael will have limited early-access screenings in premium formats on Wednesday, April 22, two days before the film’s wide release on Friday. Tickets for the one-night-only showings go on sale at 9 a.m. PT/noon ET on Wednesday, March 11.

Jaafar Jackson, the pop star’s nephew, stars as Michael Jackson in the film directed by Antoine Fuqua. Michael explores Jackson’s life beyond his music, following his rise from the Jackson 5 to a solo career that made him the King of Pop. The film highlights both his personal life and some of his most iconic performances, offering audiences a new perspective on his journey and artistry. Nia Long, Juliano Valdi, KeiLyn Durrel Jones, Laura Harrier, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo also appear in the film.

Kevin Grayson, President of Worldwide Distribution for Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said the early-access screenings in IMAX and other premium formats will give fans an immersive experience, showcasing Jackson’s performances and legendary music. He described the screenings as a unique opportunity for audiences to be among the first to experience the movie.
