 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband.  NESREA Seals Bond Chemicals Industries Limited for Environmental Violations


The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) has sealed off Bond Chemicals Industries Limited in Oyo State following concerns over violations of the National Environmental Regulations. 


According to Nwamaka Ejiofor Assistant Director (Press)compliance inspection carried out by officials from the South West Zonal Office revealed that the facility had no functional Effluent Treatment Plant and was discharging untreated wastewater with offensive odour directly into the environment in contravention of applicable environmental standards and regulations .


After due notification, NESREA in exercise of its statutory mandate, consequently sealed the facility to prevent further environmental degradation and to safeguard public health.


The Director General of NESREA Prof. Innocent Barikor reiterates that all industry operators are required to comply fully with environmental regulations including the installation and proper operation of pollution control equipment, stating that the Agency will continue to intensify its monitoring and enforcement activities nationwide and will not hesitate to apply appropriate sanctions against any facility found to be in violation.
