 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. Passengers Injured As Kaduna-Abuja Train Reportedly Collides With Another Train


Hundreds of passengers were stranded Monday morning after an Abuja-bound train from Kaduna reportedly collided with another train along the route, prompting an immediate suspension of services.


The accident occurred during the peak morning commute, raising concerns about safety measures and signaling systems on one of Nigeria’s busiest rail corridors.


Witnesses described the impact as a “sudden and violent jolt” that brought both trains to a halt.

"We were moving steadily when there was a loud bang and the train abruptly stopped," one passenger shared on social media. "We later realized we had collided with another train. Everyone is shaken, waiting for official updates."


Another passenger, Sada Malumfashi, said, “Just got off the Kaduna-Abuja train. There was a loud bang, and the train jolted, throwing people around. Several passengers were hit, with many bleeding and seriously injured.”
