  BANDITS STRIKE CHURCH IN KWARA: WORSHIPPERS ABDUCTED IN SHOCKING ATTACK Chaos erupted in Omugo community, Ifelodun LGA, Kwara State, as armed bandits stormed an ECWA Church during Sunday morning service, abducting worshippers and sending the congregation fleeing in terror. Sources report that at least seven people were kidnapped before security forces could intervene. In a swift and coordinated response, joint security operatives, including forest guards and local vigilantes, rescued three victims, though several remain in captivity. Bolanle Olukoju, Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, condemned the brazen attack, describing it as “cowardly and unacceptable,” and praised the rapid action of security agencies. Pistons’ Cade Cunningham suffers collapsed lung, sidelined for at least two weeks


Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham will miss at least two weeks after sustaining a collapsed lung, the team announced Thursday. The injury occurred Tuesday during a 130-117 win over the Washington Wizards in Washington, D.C., when Cunningham dove for a loose ball and collided with guard Tre Johnson in the first quarter. He left the game about a minute later and did not return. While the Pistons initially cited back spasms, Cunningham was later diagnosed with a left lung pneumothorax and will be re-evaluated after his two-week absence.

Cunningham, a two-time All-Star, has been averaging 24.5 points, 9.9 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game over 61 starts this season. The Pistons, currently 49-19, have gone 5-5 over their last 10 games but remain first in the Eastern Conference, 3.5 games ahead of the Boston Celtics. Detroit is set to face Washington again on Thursday at 7 p.m. EDT.
