GOVERNMENT OF RIVERS STATE   PRESS STATEMENT  MY DECISION TO WITHDRAW FROM THE RIVERS  STATE  GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARIES  Fellow Rivers People, After deep reflection and extensive consultations with my family, friends, and associates, I have taken the difficult but necessary decision to withdraw from the APC gubernatorial primaries. I do so with a full heart and with a firm commitment to support whoever emerges as the candidate of our great party. Leadership is ultimately about sacrifice. There comes a time when personal ambition must yield to the greater good of the people. Rivers State is bigger than any individual, and at this critical moment, the peace, stability, and unity of our dear state must take precedence over every personal interest. PISTONS’ CADE CUNNINGHAM SUFFERS COLLAPSED LUNG, SIDELINED FOR AT LEAST TWO WEEKS. (PHOTO).

Pistons’ Cade Cunningham suffers collapsed lung, sidelined for at least two weeks

Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham will miss at least two weeks after sustaining a collapsed lung, the team announced Thursday. The injury occurred Tuesday during a 130-117 win over the Washington Wizards in Washington, D.C., when Cunningham dove for a loose ball and collided with guard Tre Johnson in the first quarter. He left the game about a minute later and did not return. While the Pistons initially cited back spasms, Cunningham was later diagnosed with a left lung pneumothorax and will be re-evaluated after his two-week absence.

Cunningham, a two-time All-Star, has been averaging 24.5 points, 9.9 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game over 61 starts this season. The Pistons, currently 49-19, have gone 5-5 over their last 10 games but remain first in the Eastern Conference, 3.5 games ahead of the Boston Celtics. Detroit is set to face Washington again on Thursday at 7 p.m. EDT.
