 NDLEA condoles NAF over Ondo aircraft crash  The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic aircraft crash in Ondo State, which claimed the lives of personnel of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and some others. In a letter of condolence addressed to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Agency, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), conveyed the Agency’s heartfelt sympathies to the Air Force leadership, officers, men and women and the families of the fallen heroes. Marwa described the news of the crash as devastating, noting that it was received with profound grief. He praised the Nigerian Air Force for consistently demonstrating exceptional patriotism, gallantry and unwavering commitment to the defence and security of the nation.  POLICE BUST KIDNAPPER'S HIDEOUT IN NASARAWA STATE ; RECOVER WEAPONS 


The Nasarawa State Police Command, in its fight against crime has recorded another significant breakthrough in the fight against kidnapping and other violent crimes in the state, as operatives successful bust a kidnapper's den, arrested a suspect, and recovered AK - 47 Rifle.


According to a statement by the command's public relations officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, operatives of the State Intelligence Department (SID), Nasarawa State Command, acting on credible intelligence successfully busted the hideout of a notorious kidnapper at Gidan Akuya Village in Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State


It states that, upon sighting the operatives, the criminals attempted to flee the scene but were immediately hunted down by the police leading to the arrest of one Forty Three years old Jibril Yunusa


Meanwhile, a thorough 

 search of the hideout led to the recovery of

one AK-47 rifle

one empty magazine and

one locally fabricated rifle


During interrogation, the suspect confessed to participating in several kidnapping activities within the Keana and Awe axis of the state and has provided useful information to assist ongoing investigations.


In the meantime, the Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, has directed operatives to intensify efforts to track down and arrest the fleeing members of the gang, to ensure that they are brought to justice.
