 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband.  Robert De Niro bursts into tears over Trump dividing the U.S.: 'We have to save the country'


Robert De Niro recently delivered an impassioned message to Americans, urging unity and resilience in the face of political division. Speaking with Nicolle Wallace on the MS NOW podcast The Best People, the actor described former President Donald Trump as a destructive force, insisting that citizens must come together to protect the nation. 


He emphasized that differences among people are secondary compared to the larger challenge of safeguarding democracy, stressing that division cannot lead to victory.


Reflecting on his career and past moments of gratitude, De Niro grew emotional as he reiterated the importance of lifting people up rather than tearing them apart. He rejected the idea of humanizing Trump’s political era, instead framing the current situation as a matter of survival for the country. 


While acknowledging the bleakness of the moment, he also suggested that this crisis might serve as a turning point, compelling Americans to defend their values and preserve the nation’s future.


De Niro’s outspoken criticism of Trump is not new; he has long used his platform to champion progressive causes and challenge the former president’s policies. His remarks have often provoked sharp responses from Trump, who recently lashed out at De Niro and other critics on Truth Social. 


Despite the hostility, De Niro remains steadfast, portraying the struggle as a collective responsibility to ensure that the country endures and thrives beyond this turbulent period.
