Shannen Doherty's estate settles legal battle with ex-husband Kurt Iswarienko

Shannen Doherty’s estate has finalized a settlement with her ex-husband, Kurt Iswarienko, over ownership of their former Texas mansion.

Court filings from March 24 confirm that both sides agreed to resolve their legal dispute, which had continued after Doherty’s passing in July 2024.

The estate had argued that Iswarienko failed to follow the terms of their divorce settlement, including not notifying the trust when he listed the property for sale, while also owing money to the estate.

Under the agreement, Iswarienko will retain the Texas home if he provides Doherty’s estate with half of the property’s equity and submits a full inventory of his photographic works. If he fails to meet these conditions, the house must be sold.

The trustees are also required to cooperate in transferring the title and deed, as well as return personal items awarded to Iswarienko in the divorce, including guitars, equipment, and a restored stereo.

In exchange, Iswarienko will withdraw his court filing, and a scheduled April 3 hearing has been canceled.

Doherty had filed for divorce from Iswarienko just one day before her death, waiving any rights to alimony and describing the matter as uncontested.

The couple had been married from 2011 until their separation in 2023. While Doherty’s representative noted that divorce was not her preferred choice, she felt she had no alternative.

Doherty herself later reflected on her marriage in her podcast, acknowledging that her cancer battle had deeply affected the relationship.

This settlement now closes one of the final chapters of her personal and legal affairs.
