Nigeria’s Super Eagles have officially begun preparations in Antalya, Turkey, gearing up for two international friendlies against Iran and Jordan later this month.
The squad took to the training pitch under the blazing Turkish sun on Wednesday, with conditions described as hot and scorching as head coach Éric Chelle gets his side ready.
A total of 22 players are in the squad at camp.
However, there’s a late blow for Nigeria, Fulham defender Calvin Bassey has been forced to withdraw from the squad due to a back injury, ruling him out.
The Super Eagles now turn their focus to training as they look to fine‑tune their tactics ahead of Friday’s clash with Iran and next Tuesday’s meeting with Jordan.
