  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  THEATRE COMMANDER PAYS TRIBUTE TO FALLEN HEROES; VOWS THEIR SACRIFICES WILL NOT BE IN VAIN.


The Theatre Commander, Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI  Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar has  paid tribute to gallant officers and soldiers who recently paid the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

 

At the funeral at the Maimalari Military Cantonment Cemetery in Maiduguri, Borno State, Major General  Abubakar described the occasion as a painful reminder of the true cost of military service, stating that in the profession of arms, there are moments of victory  filled with pride and affirm the courage and unity that define  service .


He stated that there are also solemn moments that weigh heavily  and remind us of the true cost of service to the nation, assuring the families of the fallen heroes that their sacrifices would not be in vain, adding that all entitlements  will be processed promptly.


The Theater Commander also extended condolences on behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Army Staff and the Armed Forces of Nigeria to the families of the fallen heroes.


The Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, represented by the Executive Secretary of the Borno State Security Trust Fund, Alhaji Mustapha Ali Yabe, expressed condolences to the Armed Forces of Nigeria and Operation HADIN KAI, describing the deaths as a loss to the nation and commended the troops for their gallantry, resilience and commitment to safeguarding the state.


He assured that the Borno State Government would continue to support the families of the fallen heroes and the military in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities.
