 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways.  Tinubu swears in Taiwo Oyedele as Minister of State for Finance


President Bola Tinubu on Monday will swear in Taiwo Oyedele as Minister of State for Finance, succeeding Doris Uzoka-Anite. 


Oyedele, a 50-year-old economist and former chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, has extensive experience in tax policy and private sector finance, including 22 years at PwC.
