 LAGOS NSCDC SMASHES BABY FACTORY IN BADAGRY, ARRESTS 2 SUSPECTS, RESCUES 28 VICTIMS, RECOVERS EXHIBITS. The renewed charge of the Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD., mni, OFR to all State Commandants to deploy technology - driven intelligence towards combatting criminalities across the country has begun to yield immediate positive results particularly in Lagos State Command. The State Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro while addressing newsmen today, Friday, 17th April, 2026, in Badagry disclosed that the Command's operatives in the axis during a strategically mounted surveillance which lasted for three ( 3 ) weeks eventually  smashed a baby factory in an overnight operation between Wednesday, 15th and Thursday, 16th April at Okuju, Ilado, Road 1, Zone 1 Area of Olorunda, Badagry.  TRANSITION OF LEADERSHIP: MURITALA HANDS OVER TO NEW ACCOUNTANT GENERAL AT STATE TREASURY OFFICE


A smooth transition of leadership took place at the Office of the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Abayomi Oluyomi, as the retiring Accountant-General/Permanent Secretary, State Treasury Office, Dr Abiodun Shefiu Muritala, formally handed over to the newly appointed Accountant-General/Permanent Secretary, State Treasury Office, Dr. Muyiwa John Adetola.


The brief, but significant ceremony, marked the continuity of a legacy of professionalism, accountability, and prudent financial management in the State’s Public Service. 


Dr. Muritala was commended for his dedication, integrity, and contributions to strengthening the financial architecture of the State during his tenure.


In his remarks, Dr. Adetola expressed appreciation for the solid foundation laid by his predecessor and also reaffirmed his commitment to upholding transparency, fiscal discipline, accountability and prudency in the management of the State Treasury.


The STO wishes the retiring Accountant-General success in his future endeavours and the new Accountant-General a productive and impactful tenure in his service to the State.
