 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision.  Why Brad Pitt is convinced his ex Angelina Jolie had a pop at him and dead mom with major family update


Brad Pitt is reportedly unsettled by recent remarks Angelina Jolie made about raising her children without a grandmother, interpreting them as a possible dig at him and his late mother, Jane Pitt. 


The former couple, who split in 2016, remain embroiled in disputes over their French winery and family matters. 


With their youngest children, twins Vivienne and Knox, turning 18 this summer, custody arrangements will end, and Jolie has suggested she may spend more time abroad, particularly in Cambodia. 


Pitt, however, is said to feel Jolie’s comments struck a nerve, given his mother’s death last year and her close bond with the children.


Sources close to Pitt claim he views Jolie’s statement as reopening old wounds tied to family estrangement after the breakup. 


He believes his mother played a meaningful role in the children’s lives and finds it painful to hear suggestions that they grew up without that connection. 


Pitt has long hoped that as his children become adults, they might rebuild ties with his side of the family. 


Public remarks that seem to dismiss those relationships, insiders say, leave him frustrated and hurt, especially as he continues to grieve his mother’s passing.


Those close to Jolie, however, insist her comments were not aimed at Pitt or his family. They explain she was reflecting solely on her own experience of losing her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, in 2007, and how that shaped her parenting journey. 


According to these sources, Jolie had no animosity toward Jane Pitt and was respectful in their interactions. 


From her perspective, the remarks were about personal grief and resilience, not criticism of Pitt’s family, highlighting how differently the two stars interpret the same moment.
