 APPEAL COURT ORDERS FORMER EDO DEPUTY GOVERNOR GODWIN OMOBAYO TO FACE CONTEMPT CHARGES  The Court of Appeal Abuja Division, has ordered a former deputy governor of Edo State, Godwins Omobayo, to face the contempt proceedings filed against him for not obeying a valid order of the Federal High Court, Abuja. Another former deputy governor of the state, Philip Shaibu and the state assembly after  obtaining a Federal High Court judgement to have Omobayo removed, had initiated the contempt proceedings for Omobayo's refusal to vacate office. The three man panel of the appellate court, led by Justice Okon Abang ruled that Omobayo was wrong to have remained in office, after the trial court removed him.  The court dismissed Omobayo's appeal, and directed him to prepare for his contempt suit.

 17-YEAR-OLD IGEDE GIRL DECLARED MISSING IN LAGOS, FAMILY RAISES ALARM 

A 17-year-old girl, identified as Onah Precious, has been reported missing in Lagos, sparking concern among family members and her community.

Precious, who hails from Opirikwu Odiapa Ito in Benue State, was last seen on March 30, 2026. Since then, there has been no confirmed contact or information about her whereabouts.


Her sudden disappearance has triggered an urgent appeal to the public, with relatives calling for immediate assistance in locating her.


According to available details, the teenager was in Lagos at the time she went missing. However, circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain unclear, raising fears about her safety.


Family sources describe her as vulnerable due to her age, stressing the need for swift action to trace her location.


Members of the public who may have seen her or have any useful information are strongly advised to report to the nearest police station or call 08147070923.


As cases of missing persons continue to rise across major cities, authorities have repeatedly urged Nigerians to stay vigilant and report suspicious movements promptly.
