 Alleged $1.5m Fraud:   Witness Tells Court Funds Came into Defendant’s Account in Multiple Tranches The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday, June 29, 2026, presented its third prosecution witness (PW3), Levi Amanda Opice, a Compliance Officer with Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank), in the ongoing trial of Ifoma Immanuel before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Lagos State Special Offences Court, Ikeja, over an alleged $1.5 million fraud. Immanuel is standing trial alongside his company, Intermediate Investment Holdings Limited, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and forgery involving the sum of $1.5 million. According to the EFCC, investigations revealed that the defendant allegedly induced Adebisi Adebutu of R28 Holdings Limited to invest $1.5 million by claiming that the funds would be used to finance projects linked to Chappal Petroleum Development Company Limited, Intermediate Investment Holdings Limited, and Chappal Ener...

 2027: Shehu Sani Obtains APC Senatorial Nomination Forms For Kaduna Central


Former senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has secured the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the Kaduna Central Senatorial District seat.


The development confirms his official entry into the race ahead of the 2027 elections, as political activities intensify within the ruling party. 


Sani, a former civil rights activist who previously served in the Senate, remains a notable figure in Nigeria’s political space.


The APC had earlier announced that the sale of nomination forms would run from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while submission of completed forms will close on May 4, 2026. 


Screening of aspirants is slated for May 6 to May 9 across various elective positions.


Primary elections are scheduled to commence on May 15, 2026, beginning with the House of Representatives, and will conclude with the presidential primaries on May 23, 2026.
