 Governor Alex Otti Highlights How Kidnappers, Bandits Were Dislodged from Abia Communities in Abia Third Anniversary Speech Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has disclosed that his administration inherited a security crisis in which kidnappers, armed robbers, and other criminal gangs held several communities hostage before being dislodged through sustained operations. Speaking during his third anniversary celebration at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Friday, Governor Otti revealed that bandits had established camps inside forests across the state, from where they launched attacks on innocent residents, causing panic and displacement. “Security was a major challenge in the state three years ago. Several communities were held hostage as kidnappers, armed robbers, and other criminal groups set up camps in the forests from where they launched sporadic attacks on innocent Abians,” Otti said. 8 CHILDREN HAVE SADLY LOST THEIR LIVES IN AN EARLY MORNING DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE IN SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA.(PHOTO).

 8 children have sadly lost their lives in an early morning domestic disturbance in Shreveport, Louisiana. This is truly heartbreaking and our thoughts are with the loved ones left behind as well as the community. 


This absolute tragedy occurred at approximately 6 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, April 19th, today. 


According to the Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith, 10 people have been shot with 8 of the victims being children ranging from 1 year old to 14 years old.


All 8 children are deceased, and two adult women were also shot with one reportedly suffering life-threatening injuries.


This heinous crime occurred in two separate homes where all the victims were found. However, the disturbing events did not end there.


The male suspect reportedly carjacked an individual after carrying out his fatal rampage. Following the carjacking, the suspect led police on a chase from Shreveport to Bossier City, where officers fatally shot him on the 400 block of Brampton Lane. 


Authorities have reported that the suspect is believed to have been in a relationship with one of the adult women and some of the children were related to the suspect. The exact nature of the relationship has not been disclosed at this time. 


This is a heartbreaking and senseless loss of so many lives. Our thoughts are with all involved parties.
