 EFCC Arraigns One for  N700m Fraud in Lagos  The Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, September 4, 2026, arraigned Osaretin Osagiede before Justice Olukayode Ogunjobi of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja,  over an alleged N700 million fraud. Osagiede is standing trial on a three-count charge bordering on unauthorised access to computer material and receiving stolen property to the tune of N700 million.  Count one reads: “That you Osaretin Osagiede and Zacharia Lorshe (at large), between March, 2025 and January 2026, in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, intentionally caused the Ravenpay user accounts' two-factor authentication (2FA) method to be bypassed, with the intent to secure unauthorised access to the bank's data and committed an offence contrary to Section 387 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011. 8 CHILDREN HAVE SADLY LOST THEIR LIVES IN AN EARLY MORNING DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE IN SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA.(PHOTO).

 8 children have sadly lost their lives in an early morning domestic disturbance in Shreveport, Louisiana. This is truly heartbreaking and our thoughts are with the loved ones left behind as well as the community. 


This absolute tragedy occurred at approximately 6 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, April 19th, today. 


According to the Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith, 10 people have been shot with 8 of the victims being children ranging from 1 year old to 14 years old.


All 8 children are deceased, and two adult women were also shot with one reportedly suffering life-threatening injuries.


This heinous crime occurred in two separate homes where all the victims were found. However, the disturbing events did not end there.


The male suspect reportedly carjacked an individual after carrying out his fatal rampage. Following the carjacking, the suspect led police on a chase from Shreveport to Bossier City, where officers fatally shot him on the 400 block of Brampton Lane. 


Authorities have reported that the suspect is believed to have been in a relationship with one of the adult women and some of the children were related to the suspect. The exact nature of the relationship has not been disclosed at this time. 


This is a heartbreaking and senseless loss of so many lives. Our thoughts are with all involved parties.
