 VANDAL CRUSHED TO DEATH UNDER COLLAPSED TRANSMISSION TOWER IN DELTA STATE A suspected vandal has been crushed to death under a collapsed vandalised  transmission tower along the 330kV Ughelli-Benin transmission line in Delta State. The incident was discovered during a line patrol carried out by the Delta Sub-Region, Lines Maintenance Department of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), following the tripping of the line on earth fault on the Ughelli - Benin 330kV Transmission line. A statement by the TCN indicates that the patrol team traced the fault to Tower 101, which had collapsed. The body of the suspected vandal was found crushed between the tower members. Tower 101 on the adjacent Ughelli - Sapele 330kV  transmission line had also been vandalized.

A FAMILY DOG WAS PUT DOWN BY FIRST RESPONDERS AFTER IT TOOK THE LIFE OF A 7-MONTH-OLD INFANT. (PHOTO).

 A family dog was put down by first responders after it took the life of a 7-month-old infant.


A family in Portland, Tennessee, is in shock and mourning after their English Mastiff fatally attacked their baby daughter. 


The incident took place on April 20th at an undisclosed address in Portland, Tennessee.  Portland Police were called to the residence at approximately 7 a.m. when the homeowners called in to report the tragic incident. The caller told authorities that their dog had entered the home through the back door and attacked their baby.


When officers arrived on the scene, they were met by the dog who was still exhibiting aggressive behavior. The officers ultimately were forced to put the dog down.


The baby's mother was injured while trying to save her daughter during the attack. She is expected to fully recover.


The family reported they had the English Mastiff for years, and it had never been aggressive prior to that morning.


This heartbreaking passing has left the family shocked, as well as their community and first responders. 


Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this incident.
