A PENNSYLVANIA MAN STABBED A TEENAGE GIRL AFTER SHE AND HER FRIENDS JOKED ABOUT HIM SMELLING BAD.(PHOTO).

A Pennsylvania man st*bbed a teenage girl after she and her friends joked about him smelling bad.

This incident occurred at the Willow Grove Park Mall in Abington Township, Pennsylvania, on the afternoon of April 15th.

The involved parties have conflicting details of the incident. The suspect, 23-year-old Angel Ortiz, claims he acted out of self-defense, saying he was struck in the head  by the 14-year-old girl and feared for his life.

The 14-year-old girl was questioned while being treated at the hospital.  In her account, she claims that her and two friends were riding on the escalator and began joking with each other about smelling badly. She says the afternoon got serious when the girls turned to Ortiz and told him that "he smelled bad".

This reportedly upset Ortiz and a verbal confrontation began. However, a security guard was nearby and intervened.

The teen victim alleged that Ortiz returned after the security guard left the vicinity and got in their faces. She then stated that during this verbal confrontation, Ortiz asked, 'Why don't you hit me'?

The teen admitted to striking Ortiz in the head following that statement. Once he had been punched, Ortiz brandished his pocket knife and attacked the teen. She ultimately received st*b wounds to both arms.

Ortiz fled the area following the attack. He was apprehended at a nearby bus stop using a physical description provided by the victim.

A review of security footage revealed that the victim's story wasn't entirely accurate.  In the video, you can see Ortiz walking away from the girls, not speaking, with the victim following behind him.

She then punches him in the head from behind.

Witness statements also corroborated that Ortiz was punched before using the pocket knife.

Angel Ortiz was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of an instrument of crime with intent and harrasment.
