A SEX-OFFENDER WITH A LONG HISTORY WAS ARRESTED AFTER HE BROKE INTO A HOME AND WAS FOUND COMPLETELY UNCLOTHED IN A SLEEPING CHILD'S BED.(PHOTO).

A S/Offender with a long history was arrested after he broke into a home and was found completely unclothed in a sleeping child's bed.

This disturbing incident unfolded in Omaha, Nebraska, on Friday, April 24th, when the Omaha Police Department was called to a local apartment building.

Once on the scene, they were met by a family member of the young victim who recounted the startling encounter the family had just endured.

According to the family member, a man later identified as 65-year-old Lavern Scott had entered their apartment through the unlocked front door at around 1 a.m.

Once inside of the home, Scott had stripped off his clothes and crawled into bed with a child who resided in the residence.

The child had woke up as the intruder crawled into bed with him and began screaming. When the child began to scream, Scott had pinned the child down.

A family member who heard the child's screams burst into the room and intervened. The family member was able to successfully chase Scott from the home.

Police reported they had received another call from a nearby Airbnb. The residents claimed Scott had barged into the dwelling and  announced it was his home.

Officers were eventually able to track Lavern Scott down. When they found him, he was completely nude except for a pair of socks.

Lavern Scott was taken into custody and charged with two counts of felony burglary and failure to register as a S/O.

Scott was given a bond of 1.25 million dollars. There is no report on why he isn't being charged with S/A in this case.

Lavern Scott has a lengthy history and has been on the S/O registry since 1987. He has arrests for S/A and failure to register in 2017, 2018, 2022, and 2024.
