 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. Another Nigerian found dead in workplace the UK


Another UK-based Nigerian has been found dead in the UK, making him the third UK-based Nigerian whose death occurred suddenly in April. 


Ademola Oke was reportedly found unresponsive at his workplace in the United Kingdom. 


According to a close family friend, Adejonwo Odutola, the incident occurred on April 18. 


Odutola explained that Ademola had left home that morning in good health and remained in contact with his wife throughout the day, with no indication of any illness. 


Later that day, Ademola was found unresponsive at his workplace by a colleague who arrived for a night shift. 


Odutola wrote, “On 18th April, 2026, Ademola, 37 years old, left home in the morning hale and hearty, with no signs of illness. He was in contact with his wife during the day, and they even shared a WhatsApp message at 2:08 pm—everything seemed normal. 


“Tragically and without warning, Ademola passed away suddenly while at work. Later in the day, a colleague arriving for their shift at night in the service user’s house found him seated on a sofa, unresponsive.” 


Odutola said emergency services were immediately contacted. Tragically, he was confirmed de@d at the scene. 


Ademola is survived by his 31-year-old wife and their two young children, aged six and two. 


Odutola, who created a GoFundMe to raise funds for the family, described the deceased as a loving husband and devoted father, whose d£ath has had a profound impact on his family and loved ones. 


This comes after a Nigerian mother of three di£d of cancer in the United Kingdom and a Nigerian father of three, identified simply as Herbert, was found dead in his apartment.
