 ASUU–ABSU SUSPENDS THREE-WEEK-OLD INDEFINITE STRIKE The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abia State University Branch, wishes to inform the University community, all stakeholders and the general public that, following the resolution of Congress held today, Friday, 28th August, 2026, the Branch has suspended its three-week-old comprehensive industrial action with immediate effect. The decision of Congress followed a careful assessment of developments since the commencement of the strike and, particularly, the concrete steps taken towards addressing some of the major issues that necessitated the industrial action. Foremost among these is the full implementation of the 2025 FGN–ASUU salary structure, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), which has now been reflected in the August 2026 salaries of academic staff of Abia State University. Chris Hemsworth and Idris Elba return as Netflix moves forward with Extraction 3

Chris Hemsworth and Idris Elba are set to return for the next installment in the Extraction franchise, as the third film in the action series officially moves forward. Director Sam Hargrave, who led the first two movies, will return to helm the sequel, with Golshifteh Farahani also joining the cast. The script is being written by David Weil, though specific plot details have not yet been revealed. Elba previously appeared in a cameo role in Extraction 2, which was released in 2023.

The original film debuted in 2020 and quickly became a major success, breaking viewership records for the streaming platform. It followed mercenary Tyler Rake on a mission to rescue a kidnapped boy in Bangladesh and was based on the graphic novel “Ciudad.” The upcoming film will again be produced by a team that includes the Russo brothers and other longtime collaborators, as the franchise continues to expand with the same core creative group behind its global success.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
