 Okpoko Building Collapse: Ojukwu Condemns Illegal Structure, Orders Demolition ‎ ‎By Chukwuka Ugokwe ‎ ‎The Anambra State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Bar. Chijioke Ojukwu, has on Oct 8, described the collapse of a three-storey building under construction in Okpoko, Ogbaru Local Government Area, as unfortunate. ‎ ‎The incident, which occurred in the Anata Anaba area of the town, claimed the lives of a middle-aged woman and her 14-year-old daughter, amid allegations that warnings about the safety of the building had been ignored. ‎ ‎The victims, identified as Happiness Ugoagu and her daughter, Chikaima, were reportedly asleep in their bedroom when the building collapsed onto their residence. ‎ ‎Ojukwu, who visited the scene alongside officials of the ministry, alleged that substandard materials had been used in the construction. CP MONDAY AGBONIKA VISITS PTS OGIDA, COMMENDS ORDERLY CONDUCT OF RECRUITMENT EXAMINATION


The Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command, CP Monday Agbonika, fdc, today paid an inspection visit to the Police Training School (PTS), Ogida, Benin City, venue of the ongoing Nigeria Police Force recruitment examination exercise.


During the visit, the Commissioner of Police interacted with applicants participating in the examination and encouraged them to give their best, reminding them that the recruitment process is entirely free, transparent, and merit-based. He emphasized that the exercise is designed to be fair and just, offering every qualified applicant an equal opportunity to serve the nation through the Nigeria Police Force.


CP Monday Agbonika, fdc, also commended the officers of the Nigeria Police Force and personnel of the Police Service Commission for the high level of organization, professionalism, and orderliness observed throughout the exercise. He expressed satisfaction with the seamless coordination and conduct of the examination process.


The Commissioner further assessed the security arrangements and deployments put in place ahead of the exercise, which commenced on Monday, 28th April, 2026. He expressed confidence in the adequacy of the security measures, noting that they have been effective in ensuring a peaceful, safe, and hitch-free environment for all participants and officials.


While on ground, the Commissioner was received by key officials overseeing the exercise, including the Nigeria Police Force Recruitment Team Leader, DCP John Paul Echetah; the Police Service Commission Team Leader, Barrister Joel Akoko; the Commandant, Police Training School, Ogida, ACP Aigbe Aghahowa; the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Medical, ACP Margaret Oyakhiere; the Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Intelligence Department, ACP Nasirudeen Oyedele; and the Police Service Commission Secretary, Mr. Donald Aohiojie, among other senior officers and officials.


The Edo State Police Command remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the standards of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu psc(+), NPM, and the Chairman Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu Rtd for professionalism, transparency, and excellence, ensuring that only the most qualified and suitable candidates are selected into the Nigeria Police Force. The Command reaffirms its dedication to supporting a recruitment process that reflects the highest standards of integrity and fairness.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
