The Parish Priest of Christ the King Parish, Isuaniocha, Reverend Father Francis Nwankwo, has called upon Christians to align themselves with the spirit of God as they commemorate Easter.
In his Easter sermon, Rev. Fr. Nwankwo emphasized the importance of living a life rooted in God's teachings, noting that true fulfillment stems from adhering to divine principles.
He reminded the congregation that while the enemy seeks to bring harm and destruction, God offers abundant life through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The priest stressed that salvation is attainable only through God and urged Christians to make scripture reading a daily practice, guiding them towards righteous living.
Citing the Gospel of St. John, Rev. Fr. Nwankwo encouraged the faithful to focus on heavenly aspirations rather than worldly desires. He advised Christians not to fear repentance, assuring them that turning to God brings gain, not loss.
He also reaffirmed Christ's promise of eternal life to those who hear His word and believe in God and urged believers to remain steadfast in faith, embracing the message of hope and renewal that Easter represents.
