Enough is Enough - Melania Trump Calls Out Jimmy Kimmel, Urges ABC to ‘Take a Stand’”

Melania Trump has publicly criticized late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, calling on ABC to address what she describes as harmful commentary from his show.

In a post shared on X on Monday, April 27, the 56-year-old first lady expressed strong displeasure over recent remarks made about her and her family, saying the tone crossed a line from comedy into something more damaging.

She wrote that Kimmel’s monologue “isn’t comedy” and argued that it contributes to division rather than humour. In her words, she described his commentary as “h@teful and vi0lent rhetoric,” adding that such content should not be entering people’s homes through television each night.

Melania also directed criticism at ABC, suggesting the network was allowing the situation to continue.

She questioned how often leadership at the broadcaster would continue to “enable” the comedian’s behaviour, and called for accountability.

In a sharper remark, she referred to Kimmel as a “coward,” claiming he relies on the network’s support for protection.

It was not immediately clear which specific segment she was responding to, and neither the White House nor representatives for Kimmel and ABC have publicly clarified the reference.

The comments come shortly after an April 23 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where Kimmel delivered an “alternative” version of a White House Correspondents’ Dinner monologue.

In that segment, he made several jokes targeting political figures, including former President Donald Trump and Melania Trump.

Among the remarks, Kimmel joked about Melania Trump’s birthday plans, saying she would likely spend it at home in a humorous imagined scene.

He also referred to her as a “movie star” while commenting on her documentary project, and made additional satirical comparisons tied to public political figures.

One of the more talked-about moments in the monologue included a line where he joked about the reception of her documentary and used a comedic comparison involving a well-known review website.

Kimmel also included a brief satirical impression during the segment, which referenced public rumours that have circulated in political commentary circles, though Melania has previously denied related claims.
