 Military judge suppresses Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s FBI confession in 9/11 case A military judge has excluded a confession that alleged Sept. 11 attacks mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed gave to FBI agents nearly 20 years ago, ruling that the statements were not made voluntarily. The decision is a setback for the U.S. government's long-running effort to prosecute Mohammed, who is accused of helping develop the plot to hijack planes and crash them into the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Mohammed remains detained at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, alongside other defendants awaiting trial. Lt. Col. Michael Schrama, the judge overseeing the case, scheduled a June 2028 trial for Mohammed and three other defendants earlier this week.  GOVERNOR YUSUF DIRECTS KASITDA TO INTRODUCE DIGITAL APPLICATION FOR URBAN PLANNING 


Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has directed the State Information and Communication Development Agency (KASITDA) to introduce a newly developed digital application for the Urban Planning Office in line with the State’s Digital Transformation Agenda (DTA).


Dr. Bashir Abdu Muzakkari Director General Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority, KNUPDA, stated this during a strategic working visit to the Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA). He said the initiative is designed to drive a seamless transition to electronic governance (e-Governance).


The DG explained that the project targets key sectors, including Health, Justice, and Lands Administration, enabling them to digitize operations and significantly improve the speed, quality, and accessibility of services delivered to the people of Kano State.


Describing the initiative as a transformative, cross-cutting intervention. Dr. Muzakkari noted that, when fully implemented, it will enhance operational efficiency, strengthen urban regulatory compliance, and improve transparency and security in government processes.
