 ABU Vice-Chancellor Hosts 100 Students To Lunch, Urges Them To Look Beyond Certificates The Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Prof. Adamu Ahmed, has hosted 100 students to a lunch, urging them to look beyond academic certificates and focus on creating value and making meaningful contributions to society. The students participated in the university’s Lunch with the Vice-Chancellor programme held at the weekend, where Prof. Ahmed interacted with the select group and discussed the opportunities, challenges and responsibilities awaiting them both within and beyond the university. The Vice-Chancellor said the university would sustain the annual programme because its greatest strength lies in its people. “A university is not only its buildings, laboratories, and lecture halls; it is, above all, its people,” he said.  Gov. Yusuf Welcomes Sen. Shekarau to APC, Says Party Stronger in Kano


The Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, has welcomed former Governor and Senator, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, into the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing his return as a major boost to the party’s strength in the state.


This was contained in a statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad on Sunday 


Governor Yusuf stated that a date will soon be fixed, in consultation with the national secretariat of the party, for the formal reception of the former Governor into the APC fold.


He noted that the party in Kano continues to witness growing support and consolidation, positioning itself as the most dominant political force in the state.


The Governor added that APC remains battle-ready to win all elective positions in the forthcoming elections, citing unity and strategic alignments as key factors driving the party’s confidence.


He further assured party members and supporters that the leadership is committed to strengthening internal cohesion and expanding its grassroots base across the state.


Governor Yusuf called on party faithful to remain steadfast and continue mobilizing support as the party prepares for future political contests.
