 IGP DISU PLEDGES FULL SUPPORT FOR NAPTIP IN COMBATING HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND ORGANIZED CRIME The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatuji Rilwan Disu, psc (+), NPM on 21st April 2026, received the Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Binta Adamu Bello, OON, on a courtesy visit at the Force Headquarters, Abuja. The meeting was graced by a distinguished delegation from NAPTIP, comprising Hassan Tahir (Special Adviser to the DG), Hakeem Lawal (Director, ICT), Mohammed Tamim (Director, Finance & Administration), Aondona Ortese (Director, Investigation), Emuesiriere Rebecca (Director, Violence Against Persons and Human Development), and Nneka A. GOVERNOR OTTI APPROVES RECONSTITUTION OF ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT BOARD 


The Governor of Abia State HE Dr. Alex Otti, OFR has approved the reconstitution of the Management Board of the Abia State Teaching Hospital in line with the enabling law establishing the institution. 


The reconstitution is aimed at strengthening governance, improving service delivery, and enhancing the quality of medical training and healthcare services provided by the hospital.


The newly reconstituted Board comprises the following:


1. Dr. Ezinne Chinyere Benjamin-Kalu – Chairman

2. Prof. Nneka Chioma Okoronkwo – Chief Medical Director⁠


3. Dr. Kelechi Omende – Member


4. Dr. Temple Nwosu – Member


5. Dr. Patrick Umezurike – Member


6. Prof. P. E. N. Onyemachi – Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee 


7. Prof. Gazie Okpara – Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Senate Representative


8. Prof. Chuks Kamanu– Provost, College of Medical Sciences


9. Dr. Mrs. Ifeyinwa Blossom Uma Kalu - P/S, Health Ministry 


10. Mrs. Ihuoma Nwagbara – Director of Administration / Secretary to the Board

11. ⁠Dr. Odochi Ewurum- NMA


His Excellency congratulates the Chairman and Members of the Board and charges them to justify the confidence reposed in them by working assiduously to reposition the Teaching Hospital as a centre of excellence in healthcare delivery, medical training, and research.


The appointments take immediate effect.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
