 Ondo State Governor Aiyedatiwa Unveils N400 Million Bursary and Scholarship Fund for 13,360 Students Akure, Ondo State - Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has officially flagged off the 2026 bursary, scholarship, and financial assistance programme, committing N400 million to support 13,360 students of Ondo State origin currently enrolled in tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The significant initiative, aimed at bolstering educational development, was launched on Tuesday at the Cocoa Conference Centre of the Governor’s Office in Akure, the state capital. Extensive Support Across Student Categories During the event, Governor Aiyedatiwa provided a detailed breakdown of the beneficiaries, highlighting the inclusive nature of the scheme. The programme will see 11,907 students receiving bursary awards, while 614 outstanding students have been granted scholarships.  Gunmen Reportedly Abduct ECWA Pastor, Family Members In Kaduna Community


Gunmen have reportedly abducted an ECWA pastor, Reverend Andrew Duniya, along with his wife, two of his children, and two other individuals in Ali community, Ikulu Chiefdom, in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.


The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Sunday at about 2:00 a.m., when the attackers invaded the community.

Reverend Duniya is reportedly a serving pastor under the Zonkwa District Church Council (DCC) of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA).


Sources within the community also claim that the kidnappers are reportedly demanding a ransom of ₦270 million for the release of the victims.


Residents have expressed concern over the situation and are calling on government authorities and security agencies to take urgent action to ensure the safe return of those abducted.
