Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  He was my first love in a different kind of way - Tori Spelling mourns Patrick Muldoon

Tori Spelling is opening up about the sudden loss of actor Patrick Muldoon, describing him as someone who played a meaningful role in her life from early adulthood through to recent years.

Muldoon passed away at 57 after a heart attack, according to reports, leaving friends and colleagues in shock.

Just days later, Spelling shared a deeply personal message, admitting she was not ready to put her feelings into words because it made the reality feel too heavy.

She reflected on how they first met, saying it began like a blind date but wasn’t really one at all since they were both already in the entertainment world.

She recalled being familiar with his work and admitting she had once been like many others who admired him on screen.

What stood out to her most, she said, was not just his presence but his personality. She described him as warm, funny in an unusual and endearing way, and someone who seemed to naturally bring joy into any space he entered.

Their connection, she explained, quickly grew into friendship built on shared humour and comfort. She said they spent a lot of time laughing together, sometimes at him and sometimes with him, and that he always took it in good spirit.

Spelling also spoke about his close family, remembering his parents fondly and saying she developed a strong bond with his sister as well. Those relationships, she noted, made her feel even more connected to his world during their time together.

As life moved on, she said Muldoon remained a steady presence in her life through different seasons. During her divorce from Dean McDermott, she said he checked in on her regularly, offering support in small but meaningful ways that stayed with her.

She added that she last saw him about a year ago, and at that time, he seemed to be in a good place personally, happy in his career and in love with his partner. She expressed regret that they never managed to sit down for one more dinner together.

Actress Denise Richards also paid tribute, sharing her condolences and describing him as someone who brought light to others before his passing.
