Somali World Cup Referee Denied Entry to United States Award-winning Somali referee, Omar Artan, has been denied entry into the United States despite holding a valid visa, according to a senior official in Somalia’s sports ministry. Artan, who is set to become the first Somali referee to officiate at the FIFA World Cup finals, was stopped at Miami International Airport and subsequently returned to Istanbul, where he had been residing. The reason for the denial was not immediately disclosed. However, Somalia is among the countries affected by a travel ban introduced by the administration of Donald Trump. Reacting to the development, Ciise Aden Abshir, a senior adviser to Somalia’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and a former national team captain, described Artan as one of Africa’s most respected referees. “Omar Artan is among Africa’s most respected referees and deserves the support of the entire football community,” Abshir told AFP on Monday.  He Was Protecting Me - Katie Miller Defends Husband After Dinner Evacuation Claims

Katie Miller is pushing back against claims about her husband, Stephen Miller, following a tense evacuation at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

The incident unfolded on April 25, when security moved quickly to clear the venue after reports of shots fired, prompting officials and guests, including Donald Trump and JD Vance, to be escorted out of the building.

Images from the moment circulated online soon after, with some social media users suggesting Stephen Miller had positioned his pregnant wife in front of him during the exit.

The claims quickly gained attention, drawing criticism and speculation.

Speaking on The Ingraham Angle, Katie addressed the situation directly. She dismissed the accusations and said the reality of what happened was very different from how it appeared in photos.

According to her, security personnel instructed that she move first as they exited, since the perceived threat was behind them. She explained that her husband stayed close, focusing on guiding and protecting her as they made their way out.

Katie, who is expecting the couple’s fourth child, also responded to commentary about how her husband held her during the evacuation.

She said he was being careful to avoid placing pressure on her stomach, which made his movements look different from what viewers might assume.

She added that the online reaction felt misplaced, suggesting that people had shifted focus onto her instead.

Despite the criticism, she described her husband’s actions as supportive and protective in a moment that required quick decisions.

Authorities later confirmed that a suspect, identified as Cole Tomas Allen, was taken into custody following the incident and faces charges related to an attempt on the president’s life.
