Kaduna businessman drags ex fiancee’s father to court, demands dowry refund A businessman, Nasiru Dayyabu, on Wednesday, dragged the father of his ex-fiance, Mallam Sani Direba, to Shari’a Court II sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna over N260,000 dowry. The complainant had joined Direba in the suit against two brothers demanding a refund of N250, 000 dowry and N10,000 introduction money he paid to marry his daughter. Represented by his counsel, Mr Sani Sunusi, the complainant told the court that he sent his people from Karaye, Kano State to Kaduna in 2025, to seek for the defendant’s daughter’s hand in marriage. “We paid the dowry and the introduction money (kudin gausuwa) and were waiting for them to set a date for the wedding,” he said. “Unfortunately, the lady’s father called to inform us that they have cancelled the marriage.” The counsel said the complainant had asked for the refund of his money since Sept. 2025 but all the efforts he made proved abortive.    I Can’t Believe This Happened - Student Meets Joe Biden Mid-Flight


A young passenger got the surprise of her trip when she discovered former President Joe Biden was seated just a few rows behind her during a recent flight.


The moment quickly turned into a viral social media story after TikTok user Cailyn shared clips of the unexpected encounter.


In the first video, the student, who appeared to be seated in the business class section, turned her camera over her shoulder to reveal Biden sitting nearby, quietly reading a newspaper across the aisle.


Her caption captured the disbelief of the moment.


“Tweaking rn because President Joe Biden is sitting two rows behind me on my flight and we spoke,” she wrote. “Can’t believe this isn’t an April Fools joke.”


The video later shows Biden standing near her row, speaking with her before the two paused for a selfie together.


In a follow-up clip, Cailyn shared another memorable part of the encounter, a handwritten note from the former president.


“Cailyn, it was truly a pleasure getting to meet and speak with you on our way to the West Coast,” the note read.


He went on to mention a connection that clearly made the conversation more personal.


“You and my wife Jill, Dr. Biden, both chose Villanova.”


In the clip, Jill Biden can also be seen seated beside him.


Cailyn later explained in the comments that the conversation centered on her being a freshman at Villanova University, the same university where Dr. Biden earned her Master of Arts in English.


According to her, Biden was excited by the shared connection and immediately encouraged Dr. Biden to speak with her about her own experience at the school.


The heartwarming interaction comes shortly after the Bidens made headlines for another personal update, welcoming two rescue dogs into their family.


The black Labrador mixes were adopted from Humane Animal Partners in Delaware, with the shelter sharing the news on social media.


For Cailyn, though, the flight will likely remain unforgettable, not because of the destination, but because of the unexpected conversation that happened before the plane even landed.
