I would have a baby tomorrow - Lauren Sánchez Bezos opens up about expanding family with billionaire husband Jeff Bezos

Lauren Sánchez Bezos has shared that she is open to having another child with her husband, Jeff Bezos, as she reflects on their blended family and recent wedding celebrations.

In a conversation with The New York Times published on April 11, the Emmy-winning journalist and former news anchor, 56, spoke candidly about the possibility of expanding their family, which already includes seven children from previous relationships.

“I would have another one tomorrow. Tomorrow,” she said, before a spokesperson clarified that she is not currently expecting.

She repeated, “I would have a baby tomorrow,” underscoring how strongly she feels about the idea of growing their family.

Lauren and Jeff Bezos, 62, officially tied the knot in a high-profile wedding in Venice on June 27, bringing together their children into one blended family unit.

Jeff Bezos, the Amazon founder, has four children with his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott, while Lauren shares three children from previous relationships, including son Nikko, 25, son Evan, 19, and daughter Ella, 18.

Beyond her comments about motherhood, Lauren has also been reflecting on the emotional moments from their wedding day. In an earlier interview in March on Today, she described the speeches delivered by their children as the most meaningful part of the ceremony.

“The biggest moment was with my kids. They all got to do speeches,” she said, adding that Jeff’s children also took part in the heartfelt tributes.

She recalled one particularly touching moment involving her son Evan, who has dyslexia. According to her, he shared a personal story during his speech about a childhood memory that held deep meaning for him.

Lauren explained that years earlier, when Evan was in the fourth grade and struggling with writing, he managed to write a simple but powerful sentence: “I can do this.” She said she later framed the note and placed it in their kitchen as a daily reminder of resilience.

“He talked about how special that moment was for him,” she said, describing how the speech unfolded in a way she had not anticipated.

Lauren also shared that her daughter Ella’s wedding speech was so emotional it brought her to tears, adding another deeply personal layer to the family celebration
