 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband.  It’s Time For Nigeria To Have An Igbo President – Bashir El-Rufai


Bashir El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, has stated that Nigeria should now produce a “pure blood Igbo President.”


According to him, unresolved historical tensions in the country may continue unless an Igbo leader emerges as president. 


He shared this view in a post on X, emphasizing that addressing past grievances requires inclusive leadership.


In the 2019 presidential election, former Anambra State governor Peter Obi served as the running mate to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar.


However, ahead of the 2023 elections, Obi left the PDP due to internal disputes and joined the Labour Party, where he contested for president but finished third behind Atiku and eventual winner Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).


Before the 2023 election, there were strong calls from the South-East region for Nigeria to support the emergence of an Igbo president, reflecting ongoing demands for political inclusion.
