 Governor Alex Otti Highlights How Kidnappers, Bandits Were Dislodged from Abia Communities in Abia Third Anniversary Speech Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has disclosed that his administration inherited a security crisis in which kidnappers, armed robbers, and other criminal gangs held several communities hostage before being dislodged through sustained operations. Speaking during his third anniversary celebration at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Friday, Governor Otti revealed that bandits had established camps inside forests across the state, from where they launched attacks on innocent residents, causing panic and displacement. “Security was a major challenge in the state three years ago. Several communities were held hostage as kidnappers, armed robbers, and other criminal groups set up camps in the forests from where they launched sporadic attacks on innocent Abians,” Otti said.  JAMB Releases Results For 2nd And 3rd Day Of UTME

                                                             The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on April 17 and April 18.


The board  in a statement by its Public Communication Adviser, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said a total of 1,264,940 results from the two examination days are now available for candidates to access.

He advised candidates to check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for registration.

The board had earlier released 632,752 results of candidates who sat for the examination on April 16.

 The latest release brings the total number of results made available  so far to 1,897,692.

JAMB however, reiterates the board’s commitment to ensuring a transparent, credible and technology-driven examination process nationwide.
