 BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE BAUCHI POLICE COMMAND DISMANTLES ARMED ROBBERY SYNDICATE, APPREHENDS SEVEN SUSPECTS INCLUDING TWIN BROTHERS The Bauchi State Police Command has recorded another operational success with the dismantling of an armed robbery syndicate specializing in mobile phone snatching. Acting on a distress call received at ‘C’ Division, Tafawa Balewa Estate, at about 1525 hours on 23rd May 2026, police operatives responded swiftly to a report of an ongoing robbery along Adamu Ajiya Street, by Ran Road, Bauchi. The prompt intervention led to the arrest of seven suspects linked to the criminal network. During the operation, one machete and one knife were recovered from the suspects. So far, two victims have been identified and their statements obtained to aid investigation. The arrested suspects are:   1. Uzairu Adamu alias ‘Goje’, 20 years old   2.  Man parks his car on Third Mainland Bridge and jumps into Lagos lagoon


A yet-to-be identified man was rescued after he reportedly jumped into the Lagos Lagoon.


It was gathered that the suspected suicidal man parked his car on the Third Mainland Bridge before jumping into the water. 


Local fishermen quickly intervened and rescued him from the water. 


Isaac Fayose, who shared a video of the rescue on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, urged Nigerians to always check on their family members and friends. 


“Please, check on your family and friends. This just happened today. Who knows what went wrong,” he wrote.
