  Cops crash massive LA street takeover, towing 100 cars and detaining hundreds Cops sprung a massive sting on alleged street-racing hooligans in South Los Angeles early Saturday — reportedly detaining hundreds and preparing to haul away scores of vehicles. The Los Angeles Police Department told The California Post that officers issued a tactical alert at 3:21 a.m. and were still working the scene hours later, as of 9 a.m. No details were immediately available on arrests or citations from the LAPD. Video from the scene showed dozens of officers surrounding a massive crowd as people wandered between cars trapped at the intersection of South Figueroa Street and West Alondra Boulevard. Tow trucks stood by, ready to pounce.  Man parks his car on Third Mainland Bridge and jumps into Lagos lagoon


A yet-to-be identified man was rescued after he reportedly jumped into the Lagos Lagoon.


It was gathered that the suspected suicidal man parked his car on the Third Mainland Bridge before jumping into the water. 


Local fishermen quickly intervened and rescued him from the water. 


Isaac Fayose, who shared a video of the rescue on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, urged Nigerians to always check on their family members and friends. 


“Please, check on your family and friends. This just happened today. Who knows what went wrong,” he wrote.
