 OPERATION ENDURING PEACE INTENSIFIES SECURITY MEASURES TO CURB ESCALATION OF TENSIONS WITHIN JOS METROPOLIS In a proactive move to prevent further escalation of the ongoing crisis in Jos North, troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE, initiated a comprehensive stop-and-search exercise across the Jos metropolis on Friday. This strategic intervention is part of a broader mandate to restore absolute normalcy and ensure the safety of lives and property within the State. ​The heightened security presence yielded immediate results as troops successfully intercepted and arrested 2 suspects as well as recovered one fabricated AK-47 rifle along with four rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and one pump action with a cutlass.  NLC TASKS STATE CHAPTERS ON FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE 


The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has ordered its state chapters to push harder for the full implementation of National Minimum Wage Act on May Day


A statement by the General Secretary of the Union, Emmanuel Ugboaja, the Congress decried what it described as widespread violations of the law by several state governments, particularly in the areas of consequential salary adjustments, timely payment, and the inclusion of local government workers, primary school teachers, and health personnel.


NLC asked it State councils to make their voices heard loud and clear on the streets and key government institutions

 if State governments fail to comply with the wage act.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
