SAVANNAH GUTHRIE SHARED AN EMOTIONAL EASTER MESSAGE AS THE PAINFUL SEARCH FOR HER MISSING MOTHER, NANCY GUTHRIE, CONTINUES.(PHOTO)

Savannah Guthrie shared an emotional Easter message as the painful search for her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, continues.

The Today show anchor appeared in a video for Good Shepherd New York’s digital Easter service on Sunday, where she spoke openly about faith, heartbreak, and the heavy burden of uncertainty she is currently carrying.

While reflecting on the significance of Easter in the Christian faith, Savannah admitted that this year’s message of hope has been difficult for her to fully hold on to.

She said Easter is a celebration of the promise of new life, but confessed that there are moments when that promise feels painfully distant.

According to Savannah, there are seasons in life when disappointment, confusion, and a deep sense of abandonment can take over. She noted that for many people, there comes a point when faith is tested by grief and unanswered questions.

Speaking from a deeply personal place, she revealed that her current season has left her wrestling with feelings she never imagined.

Savannah said she has found herself wondering whether even Jesus ever experienced the particular kind of pain that comes with not knowing, the anguish of uncertainty and the cruelty of having no answers.

She admitted that in some of her darkest moments, she has questioned whether anyone could truly understand what she is feeling right now.

Still, she said questioning God is not wrong, and that being honest about pain and loss is part of the journey through faith.

Despite the emotional weight of the moment, Savannah’s message ended on a hopeful note.

She explained that it is often the darkness that makes the light feel even more powerful, adding that Easter’s message of hope shines brightest when it is most desperately needed.

Closing her message with quiet conviction, she said: “I still believe. Happy Easter.”

Savannah’s television family has continued to support her as she remains with loved ones at her sister Annie’s home in Tucson, Arizona, while the desperate search for her mother goes on.
