 LSPHCB, SCI COLLABORATE TO STRENGTHEN CHILD IMMUNISATION The Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (LSPHCB) hosted a high-level delegation from Save the Children International (SCI), led by Country Director, Mr. Duncan Harvey, during an official courtesy visit to the board on Thursday, 17th September 2026. The visit comes as part of Save the Children’s global leadership tour in Nigeria to evaluate the impact of the BOOST Project (Better Opportunities for Optimal Services and Targeted Immunisation for Zero-Dose and Under-Immunised Children) and to align on strategic priorities for child health across the state.  TRAGEDY IN WAMBA AS GROOM DIES ON WEDDING DAY


A wedding in Wamba Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, ended in heartbreak on April 4, 2026, as Dr. Ayuba Amangut reportedly died in hospital on the very day he was to marry Miss Roseline Adamu.


Family sources said all wedding preparations were complete, with the bride fully dressed and awaiting her groom’s return from the hospital. Tragically, Dr. Amangut did not make it back, succumbing to a brief illness while under medical care.


Relatives described the loss as “devastating,” noting that the young man’s death was sudden and unexpected. “We had everything ready for the wedding. It is hard to accept that he will not be coming home to start life with Roseline,” a family member said.


Neighbours have expressed shock and grief, offering prayers and support to the bereaved family as they mourn the loss of a promising young life.
