 Popular Awka MC And Comedian Aiza Nwosu Shot Dead Popular Awka-born master of ceremonies, comedian and griot, Aiza Nwosu, was reportedly shot dead today, Sunday, 30th August 2026, in Awka, Anambra State. Unconfirmed reports circulating online allege that his killing may be connected to a lingering land-related dispute. This remains unverified, however, and it is now left for the relevant security agencies to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. The tragic news has shocked many, particularly within Awka and the entertainment community. It also raises renewed concerns about violent killings in Awka and the urgent need to address insecurity in the area. Aiza had been active in the entertainment industry for many years and was a friend and colleague to many. He was also known for mentoring younger entertainers and contributing to the growth of the local entertainment scene. TWO PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AFTER A PITBULL WAS DISCOVERED HANGING FROM A TREE BY AN EXTENSION CORD.(PHOTO).

 Two people have been arrested after a Pitbull was discovered hanging from a tree by an extension cord.


35-year-old Jalisa Brown and 27-year-old Dejhaun Jones have been arrested in a shocking and heartbreaking case out of Evansville, Indiana.


Police became aware of the case when animal control officers were called to a disturbing scene on March 25th. 

A deceased Pitbull was found hanging from a tree near Cross Street and South Evans Avenue.


Jalisa and Dejhaun are facing charges of animal cruelty and t*rt*re.


Dajhaun Jones is being held on a $7,500 bond, and Jalisa Brown has a $ 1,000 bond.


These arrests come after witnesses came forward saying Jalisa admitted the dog was hers. Jalisa claimed that her boyfriend (Dejhaun) had hanged the dog after it had attacked another dog.

Both Jalisa and Dejhaun have officially denied any involvement in the dog's passing.  


According to an affidavit, two more individuals have been named in connection to the passing of the dog.  However, neither have been arrested at this point.
