TWO SIBLINGS WHO HAD NOT SEEN EACH OTHER IN A DECADE ARE REUNITED BY CHANCE, AFTER FATE PLACED THEM IN THE SAME NURSING HOME.(PHOTO).

 A happy accident.

Two siblings who had not seen each other in a decade are reunited by chance, after fate placed them in the same nursing home.

75-year-old Ralph Slawter had left his home state of Ohio years ago. Like many of us, as Ralph built a life of his own, he slowly drifted away from his big sister Becky. Occasional contact eventually led to almost a decade of absence from each others lives.

Ralph was aware that 82-year-old Becky had been placed in a nursing home, but he wasn't sure where.

Then, in January of 2026, Ralph's daughter moved him from his home in Florida back to his home state of Ohio.

Ralph's daughter found him a spot in Rose Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation in Massillion, Ohio.

Little did either of them know at the time, but she had just set a reunion almost 10 years in the making, in motion.

After making the move, Ralph's daughter called up her cousin for a chat. It was during this conversation that the family realized they had just reunited Ralph with his big sister.

Becky was literally staying just down the hall from her little brother. When the reunion finally happened, the family said Becky  recognized Ralph right away.

Now, the two can be found spending their days together. They both enjoy each other's company while doing simple things like sitting near the pond and watching the geese together.

In addition, the cousins are visiting their respective parents frequently, and the whole family is sharing a closeness that had been missing for a long time.

There aren't very many sweet stories in the news these days, so after finding this one, we just had to share it. We hope it brightens your day a little like it did ours.
