 OPERATION ENDURING PEACE INTENSIFIES SECURITY MEASURES TO CURB ESCALATION OF TENSIONS WITHIN JOS METROPOLIS In a proactive move to prevent further escalation of the ongoing crisis in Jos North, troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE, initiated a comprehensive stop-and-search exercise across the Jos metropolis on Friday. This strategic intervention is part of a broader mandate to restore absolute normalcy and ensure the safety of lives and property within the State. ​The heightened security presence yielded immediate results as troops successfully intercepted and arrested 2 suspects as well as recovered one fabricated AK-47 rifle along with four rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and one pump action with a cutlass. Panic in Abuja as Two-Storey Building Collapses, Trapping Workers Beneath Rubble


A wave of panic has swept through Jikwoyi, a suburb of the Federal Capital Territory, following the sudden collapse of a two-storey building still under construction, leaving an unspecified number of workers feared trapped beneath the debris.


According to eyewitness accounts, the tragic incident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, sending shockwaves across the community as onlookers scrambled in confusion and distress.


Emergency responders from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) have since arrived at the scene and are actively coordinating rescue operations.


As efforts intensify, tension hangs heavy in the air, with anxious residents and relatives of the victims hoping for miracles amid the unfolding tragedy.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
