 Flights suspended to Ethiopian holy town of Lalibela as fighting expands Flights to the historic Ethiopian town of Lalibela ​were suspended on Thursday due to fighting nearby, seven sources said, as residents in the Tigray region to the north stocked up on food and ‌cash, fearing that renewed fighting could trigger another major war. Tigrayan forces seized three local airports and launched attacks in Afar and Amhara regions with allies there this week, in the most serious escalation since a devastating 2020-22 war against Ethiopian government troops. In its first public comments on the fighting, Ethiopia's army said on Thursday that it had foiled the attacks and killed, wounded or captured more than 500 enemy fighters.  VeryDarkMan: Court grants Blord bail


Celebrity Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has been granted bail after spending weeks in Kuje prison over alleged impersonation of social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan.


Activist and former presidential candidate Omolere Sowore made this known in a terse statement on his official Facebook account on Friday.


According to him, Blord was bailed on his own recognizance after his arraignment in Federal High Court, Abuja.


He, however, said the court ordered Blord to deposit his international passport as part of his bail conditions.


“Bail has been granted to Linus Williams, popularly known as @mrblordofficial BLORD, on self-recognizance. The court, however, ordered that he deposit his international passport as part of the bail conditions,” he wrote.


Recall that Blord was ordered to be remanded in prison on April 1, 2026
