PRESS RELEASE May 8, 2026 CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT IN CIRCULATION NOT OFFICIALLY RELEASED, BUT CONTENTS FURTHER AFFIRM ABDULRAHMAN AND ANYANWU’S LEADERSHIP OF THE PDP 1. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has become aware of the circulation of a purported Certified True Copy (CTC) of the recent Supreme Court judgment relating to matters concerning the party. 2. The PDP wishes to categorically state that the document currently in circulation was not officially released by the Supreme Court. A careful examination of the purported CTC reveals that it falls short of the established requirements for proper certification of official court documents. The pages were neither duly certified, stamped, nor signed by any authorized court officer in accordance with legally recognized procedures. 3.  2Baba Performs at Political Event as Wife Natasha Osawaru Defects From PDP to NDC


2Baba has stirred reactions online after making a surprise appearance at a political event to support his wife, Natasha Osawaru, during her defection from the Peoples Democratic Party to the National Democratic Coalition.


The gathering, held in Abuja, drew several political figures and supporters, but many attendees were surprised to see the veteran singer actively participating in the event.


Videos from the occasion showed 2Baba dressed in blue jeans and an NDC-branded vest as he stood beside his wife throughout the ceremony.


At one point, the award-winning musician entertained guests by performing his popular song, “One Love,” while party members and supporters cheered him on.


Natasha Osawaru, who serves in the Edo State House of Assembly, was formally received into the party alongside other defectors by Seriake Dickson, the party’s national leader.


The event has since sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians wondering whether 2Baba may be gradually stepping into the political space alongside his wife.
