 Pixar announces new Finding Nemo short film, Loving Dory  Pixar is returning to the “Finding Nemo” universe with a new short film titled “Loving Dory,” continuing the franchise after its two films grossed roughly $2 billion worldwide. The short was announced at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where Pixar also revealed plot details and screened early footage. Produced by Mary Alice Drumm and directed by Lou Hamou-Lhadj, the story follows Dory as she takes Nemo to school. On her way back, she becomes trapped in a sea anemone and is rescued by what she believes is a jellyfish, which is actually a plastic bag containing a discarded sunscreen tube. Dory then forms an unexpected friendship with the object, with the footage showing a series of whimsical, emotional moments between the pair.  6 BRIGADE TROOPS NEUTRALISE TWO SUSPECTED BANDITS, RECOVER ARMS IN TARABA 


Troops of 6 Brigade Nigerian Army (NA)/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), deployed at Sarkin Kudu in Ibi Local Government Area( LGA) of Taraba State, have successfully neutralised two suspected bandits during a well-coordinated clearance operation aimed at flushing out criminal elements threatening peace and security in the state.


Acting on credible intelligence received from a reliable source on 18 May 2026 regarding the activities of suspected bandits at a hideout around Dooshima District in the Sarkin Kudu area of Ibi LGA, troops swiftly mobilised to the general area for a tactical raid operation.


Upon reaching the area, the troops came in contact with the armed assailants, leading to a fierce exchange of fire with the criminals at the identified hideout. During the encounter, troops successfully neutralised two suspected bandits, while others escaped with suspected gunshot wounds.


Items recovered from the operation include:


• One AK-47 rifle

• One AK-47 magazine

• One locally fabricated pistol

• One Android phone

• Three small mobile phones

• Two charm vests and other personal items 


The recovered items are currently in custody and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.


Commenting on the successful operations, The Commander, 6 Brigade NA/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Brigadier General Chukwuemeka Michael Akaliro, commended the troops for their courage, bold handling and swift response which he noted was in line with the current proactive drive of the Bde and is in pursuit of the directive of the Chief of Army Staff to flush out criminal elements and ensure lasting peace and security across Taraba State and its environs.


The Commander  assured that the current reward and sanction system of the Comd would apply to the gallant soldiers involved in the raid operations.  He further reiterated  the Brigade’s commitment to sustaining aggressive operations against all forms of criminality and urged members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies in the State.
